Snowman

Today the snow has gone ,it rains and sometimes the sun carefully shows her existence.

When I cleaned the questbedroom ,formerly owned by child #2, i discovered him again ,THE Snowmandoll .

Child #2 loves reading the book the Snowman written by Raymond Briggs ,the cartoon and later a movie .

I found the doll while the child was already a young man but i could not resist buying him and i gave it as a surprise at Santaclausevening .Snowman remained ,son left the nest .

Here i show my doll Mouche sitting on the cupboard with the little sweetie she made ,both Mouche and me love the little blue one very much and we hope that my friend will never lose her fantasy

Mormeltje ,beloved since the 60ties (1900)

A while ago i was at the 2nd hand store in our village and in a trunk filled up with nowadays pluche i immediately recognized her ...... MORMELTJE .

She brought me way back in my memories ,i think 45 years ago !

Mormel was a design of a knitted troll and placed in the long gone magazine Prinses (Dutch ) .

Each 14 days there has been added a new pattern for making her clothes .

OOOO ,how i loved her but.... never got one .

My both grandmothers ,always knitting socks ,didn t feel the need to surprise me with this little creature .

My best girlfriend got one on her birthday and growing up in a family of 13 children she was able to share easely ,lucky me !

We played with Mormel ,made a bed for her and telling her stories ,a very lovely memory .

I never forgot Mormel and i tried to find her pattern when i had my own children but ...no succes.

Now .... i got her pattern ,received from a dear friend who is born in the same year as me and we share the love for Mormel .

The old Mormel i got for 10 cent but her value for me is un payable

Grey and cold .

Today it is cold again ! ,brrrrr !
I have to learn to knitt warm socks but ..... i prefer to knitt a Mormel !!!

Old wooden shoes

I LOVE old wooden shoes .
These are old and French and the handknitted socks are antique as well .
I like to take shots of old stuff and funny things

Come on ! drink some coffee or tea with me and eat something yummie

Today i have started my blog ,it was time to do something new .
I want to write in English so everybody is able to understand me .
My English is simple but i hope to develope in the future .
I now have to translate my profile in English and have to learn all inns and outs about the blog.
I look forward to see a follower !
